Rasisalai United 2 Khon Kaen United 1
Rasisalai go 10 points clear at the top of the table with a hard-fought win over mid-table Khon Kaen. Amadou gave the visitors an early lead but Rasisalai fought back with a 14th of the season for Alberto Gouvea – and then a 77th minute winner from Nattapol. The Monkey Kings can start planning that promotion party.
Pattaya United 4 Chiang Mai United 1
Pattaya eased their relegation worries with an easy victory against a team with one of the worst away records in T2. Pattaya’s dynamic duo of Gregory Rocha and Gustavo Apis added another three goals to their joint tally. Chiang Mai’s play-off hopes have flickered in recent weeks, but they’re surely over now.
Chantaburi 1 Bangkok 2
Bangkok FC will need to win virtually all of their remaining matches if they’re to beat the drop – and there’s the first one in the bag! Chantaburi another team who look like a solid mid-table finish is the best they can hope for.
Songkhla 2 Chainat Hornbill 0 Songkhla
began a run of five successive home fixtures with a tidy 2-0 win against a woefully out-of-form Chainat. That’s six games without a win for The Hornbills. Songkhla were 2-0 up within the first 11 minutes and from then on the result was never in doubt. The Similan Mermaids can safely look ahead to another season in T2.
Nakhonsi United 2 Sisaket United 2
An injury time equaliser salvaged a point for Sisaket, who stay in second place. Second half goals from Ronnayod and Mohammed Essam put Nakhonsi 2-1 in front but The Southern Dragons couldn’t hold out and remain in the bottom three.
Police Tero 0 Mahasarakham 0
Honours even at the NT Stadium, but a draw that sees Police Tero drop to 4th place. Despite occupying the automatic promotion places for virtually the whole of the season, it’s beginning to look like Police Tero will have to earn promotion the hard way via the play-offs.
Nakhon Pathom 0 Kasetsart FC 1
An Ismail Sassi goal early in the second half saw Kasetsart take all three points in this relegation ‘six-pointer’. That’s four successive defeats for Nakhon Pathom, and they look in serious trouble.
Trat FC 1 Nongbua Pichaya 2
An excellent away win for Nongbua against an in-form Trat side. Rodrigo put Trat in front with a 56th minute penalty, but The Gamecocks hit back with goals from Thanayut and Jardel Capistrano. Nongbua still looking a good play-off bet in 5th.
Pattani FC 3 Phrae United 1
Pattani moved up to 3rd place with a fine 3-1 win over Phrae – the first of five successive home games for The Queen Cannons. How crucial could that home match against Sisaket be in early April? Automatic promotion a very real possibility for the southern side if they can hold their nerve.
